Council for Gender Equity on the Faculty: Consultation on Culture Workshop

On behalf of the Council for Gender Equity on the Faculty, you are invited to attend an engaging workshop that will support your efforts for creating an inclusive and equitable academic culture in your college or department.

Led by Dr. Kris De Welde, Director of Women’s and Gender Studies and Professor of Sociology at College of Charleston, this opportunity will provide critical tools and strategies for academic administrators addressing persistent issues such as pay and promotion inequalities and disproportionate service burdens.

There will be three separate offerings of Dr. De Welde’s workshop, staggered on different days and times to accommodate busy schedules and facilitate deeper engagement among participants. Please note, this invitation is intentionally geared for senior leaders and academic administers and space is limited to about 30 people per session, so registration is required.

Please register for only one of the following offerings of Dr. De Welde’s workshop:

As a supplement to the workshop, those who register to attend can receive a complimentary copy of Dr. De Welde’s book, Disrupting the Culture of Silence, which was selected as the CHOICE 2015 Outstanding Academic Title. More information on book distribution will be sent out via email after registration is complete and the books are available, no later than the beginning of April.
